Check whether this fits how you rent

Can a customer book and pay on my site?

Yes, by card. The customer picks the equipment and the days, sees live availability and pays by card — the deposit comes off with the order. Our server works out the amount; the customer's browser never touches it. Anyone who prefers the old way pays by transfer or on pickup. BLIK and Przelewy24 are being built — we are not giving dates.

What do I pay, and do you take a cut of each booking?

PLN 199 net a month, and no cut. That price covers the back office, the store website and online payments. We do not count users or orders. A year up front costs the same as ten months. We take nothing from the transaction: the money goes straight to your own account with the payment provider, and you sign that contract yourself, so their rates come from them, not through us. Premium at PLN 399 net is on the page, but we are not selling it yet.

What happens after the 14 days?

Nothing on its own. You sign up without a card, so there is nothing for us to charge — after fourteen days nothing happens by itself. The prices are set: Standard at PLN 199 net a month, Premium at PLN 399 net, a year for the price of ten months, no annual contract and no onboarding fee. Subscription payment goes live before the commercial launch — we will email you before anything starts costing money. Catalogue, orders and customers export to CSV whenever you want.

My bookings live in a notebook and a spreadsheet. How do I move them?

The catalogue goes in as a CSV. The file uses our column layout, so the simplest way is to export the empty one and fill it in. Before anything is saved you get a preview: how many items will be added, how many overwritten, and which row has an error. Photos, units and pickup points you add in the back office, because the CSV does not carry them. The import covers the catalogue, not bookings — open dates you enter by hand. Export works the other way round, so your data is not locked in here.

Can the store run on my own domain?

Yes, with one CNAME record. The moment your organisation exists, the store already answers at yourname.avably.io, so you have something to show customers on day one. Your own domain goes on whenever you want: the back office spells out the record (type, name, value), you paste it at your registrar and press “Check verification”. DNS is sometimes ready in minutes, sometimes hours. No developer needed.

Who is Avably a bad fit for?

For hourly rental. We price rentals in days, off tiered day rates — hours are simply not something we count. We do not run retail either: tills, receipts and stock to sell belong in a different program. Flats and premises are outside this entirely. And there is nobody here who will load your catalogue for you — you sign up and click through it yourself, and we answer email, usually the same business day.

Can another rental business see my data?

No, the database stops it. The boundary sits in the database, not in what the screen draws. On every change to the code a test deliberately reaches for another business's rows and tries to change them. It has to be refused, or the change does not ship. Admin access to the platform itself takes a second factor. We never see card numbers at all, because Stripe holds them.

Where does my data sit, and what about GDPR?

In the European Union. The database, the hosting and the email run with providers whose servers are in the EU. We keep ordinary contact details of your customers: name, email, phone, address, tax number for the invoice. We do not collect national ID numbers or scans of ID documents. You are the controller of that data; we process it on your instruction. The data processing agreement and self-service deletion of a customer record do not exist yet — both land before the paid plans start.
